Last night’s ‘No Loan Again, Naturally’ had a total of 5.99 million viewers, making it the second least watched episode of all time. In twenty years, only Lisa The Drama Queen, which aired in January, received less viewers (5.75 million). Those blaming low ratings on unsteady scheduling might want to rethink their point of view. The episode was the second most watched show on Fox all night, trailing Family Guy which had 7.17 million viewers. King Of The Hill had 4.92 million, while American Dad had 5.32 million.
Desperate Housewives (13.5 million) and 60 Minutes ( 13.13 million) were the most watched shows of the night. The Fox network was fourth overall and among adults 18-49 for the night.
In other news, for those of you keeping track, the amended figure for last week’s ‘How The Test Was Won’ was officially 6.53 million viewers.
A new episode, Gone Maggie Gone airs next Sunday.
that sucks
man depressing ratings lately
Like most persons, I have believed that the obsession of the directors and writters to focus on left wing cultural issues has hurt the quality of the show. But giving the housing crisis I have to say that I thought this show was really well thought out and well made. I wish the show would get off its political soapbox and go back onto focusing on Springfield and their favourite family but this show stands as one of the best in the last 3 seasons.
I am very disappointed with this rates! 🙁
I expected that this episode will bring highest rating in this season, but it couldn’t get 6 millions!
that stinks, i loved the episode because i am from new orleans and mardi gras happens here
what is a left wing cultural issue? if its cultural, then wouldn’t the issue effect both wings?
groening rules.
it looks like next weeks episode wont be on cultural issues. unless racing agianst freemasons for treasure with comic book guy is an issue.
Bobby.
And how! What a wonderful issue it is. The Freemasons are the least understood founding faction of this nation, and most other nations at that. And that CBG, well, I think we can all agree, he has his chubby finger on the pulse of pop culture. We agree on that right?
I wrote a philosophic thesis on the Simpsons, comparing the characters to five schools of Western thought. Moe is a nihilist, yada yada. Every episode is a gem of culture. I hope it never ends.
much love from Springfield.
Are we just looking at the american rating only? Because over here in the uk, the viewrs are increasing.
I totally agree with jgrig2, i have seen so much liberal bullsh*t put into the show it has made it almost completely unwatchable, it makes since considering fox accidentally admitted that they were putting brainwashed content in there programming. It is not just The Simpsons either Family Guy has been vary liberal there past 3 seasons and i can barely watch that show either. I don’t hate the simpsons i just wish the show did not put politics into there episodes, seasons 1-9 were the best of all time.
it’s too bad that not many people watched this funny episode. There should be at least have a million viewers or more in the UK.
It was amazing!! Why didn’t it have that much viewers!? I can’t believe so few people saw it. I loved it!!
