It’s amazing how far a little bit of promotion can go, but it is rarely noticed til you see what a lack of promotion does. Last night’s episode Dangerous Curves had 8.16 million viewers — over a third less less than last week’s Treehouse Of Horror figures. The figures place Dangerous Curves at the bottom of Season 20 as far as viewer counts go, but it is still early days in terms of the whole season and still two million more than the show’s lowest numbers.
FOX was fourth placed both overall and among adults 18-49 for the night. The Simpsons and King Of The Hill (6.79 million) were in fourth place in the 8pm hour. Family Guy had 8.60 million viewers at 9:00 and American Dad followed with 6.60 million.
Homer and Lisa Exchange Cross Words airs next Sunday November 16.
It’s there fault for not releasing a promo. To be fair, quite highey/normal score.
It just struck me what was strange about this episode! It felt odd to see Maude as a character again, just doing her thing nothing special but there.
Oh yea, she’s suddenly alive again. Duhh (dumb Fox)
Was it Maude’s proper voice?
Solid ratings for a non advertised episode.
Oh yeah I totally didn’t even think about that. She was alive again wasn’t she? But, too bad it was just a flashback.
And I thought they were pretty good ratings. Better than I’ve used to seen. And yeah, I didnt see one advertisement for this episode, so yeah pretty good ratings.
Yea, they are good ratings. If anyone expects 12 mil again, they had another thing coming.
ok episode, a flashback…. but good to see maude again, with the same voice and actor (I think)
But there was not much of bart & lisa’s flashback… just homer and Marge.
I’m pretty sure it was still Maggie Roswell as Maude
Yea, I think I read it above.
