Below is a promotional image for Sunday May 10th’s “Four Great Women and a Manicure”:
Marge and Lisa visit the nail salon where they engage in a spirited debate as to whether a woman can be smart, powerful and beautiful all at the same time. To prove their point, they spin four tales of famous women featuring famous Springfield faces: Selma as Queen Elizabeth I, Lisa as Snow White, Marge as Lady Macbeth and Maggie (guest voice Jodie Foster) as the idealistic architect protagonist from Ayn Rand’s “The Fountainhead”.
That is probably a British judge because British judges wear wigs on their heads.
Maggie talks for a whole segment? And she’s voiced by Jodi Foster? Wow.
I wonder how they will split these three parts up now that there are three commercial breaks during the story.
read again, it won’t be three stories, it’ll be four.
They have three commercial breaks in an hour now? And I moan when we only have 1.
Going to be quite hard to develop a story in such a short period. Might see some rushed stories I think.
For a first time we will hear some other sound from Maggy except her laughing! 🙂
I don’t really know how good it is for a show to cross some old lines about Simpsons status Quo, but I suppose that production team had to make some radical moves (especially with ending of this season approaching) to get some extra viewers for the show…
Generally, concept of this episode is really good, and I hope that realization will be satisfying for viewers!
I know the episode is going to be good. Can’t wait 🙂
i’ve always enjoyed it when the simpsons tell stories. i find them amusing to see their version of things that actually happened.
@ bobby- Know what You saying! 😀
Bible stories, Shakespeare’s stories, Stories from the Wild West, American CW…
There were thousands of great classic stories and events that Simpsons used to make us laugh!
Hope they will do the same this time either! 😀
Hmm are they doing Back to Back new episodes cause it says the Episode on May 3rd is this and “Waverly Hills 9-0-2-1-D’oh”
hey what about waverly Hills ep? is it going to be 2 in one day!?!?!?!
mr tim@ It’s some mistake.
There’ve never been too episodes in one day since the show started…
Or maybe this is the way they want to catch new viewers… 😉
@Nicolas – Was the 399th and 400th episodes not on the same day?
@Gaulty – Yeah, except that time, I forgot about it!
But it was special occasion, and I see no reason why should they put too episodes in one night…
Anyway, we’ll have to wait until tomorrow to see what surprises are prepared for us…
Sorry, that was an error. I’ve edited the post now.
Can you get “The Fountainhead” across in 10 mins???
