The Simpsons: The Complete Seventh Season In Stores Now

Simpsons fans nationwide rejoice. The Simpsons: The Complete Seventh Season arrives in stores tomorrow, with some customers lucky enough to get their hands on a copy already. The set includes every episode from Season 7 with commentaries, as well as deleted scenes, commercials, audio outtakes, and animation showcases. The set is retailing for around $49.95 US. Pick up your copy today in time for Christmas.

This set is avaliable to purchase in either of the above packages. Both retail for the same price and naturally it all comes down to your personal preference or previous purchase.

Season 7 DVD Alternate Box Art

With the Marge head casing being offered as the packaging for The Simpsons: The Complete Seventh Season, fans who decided to forgo the previous Homer head packaging will want to continue their line of box-art. Fox announced last month that the set will be available to purchase in two different packages, the Marge casing, or a standard cardboard package like the first five sets. Today we can reveal the new box art, pictured left. It will feature a cutout in the photo shutter keeping it in line with the collection. Fox is labelling this the ‘standard packaging’ while the Marge head is limited edition. The set is due for release on December 13.

Season 7 DVD Release Date

We exclusively broke the news of a possible December release of The Simpsons: The Complete Seventh Season DVD back in July and now thanks to TVShowsOnDVD we can confirm that December 13 will be the release date for the set. As usual the set will be packed with special features such as commentaries, deleted scenes, and animatics. If Fox choose to continue with the head-casing design, the art on the left is what you should expect (click for a border-free version).
