Marge Simpson to Appear on Cover of Playboy
Marge Simpson will be the first ever cartoon character to make the front cover of Playboy Magazine this month when the issue celebrates the 20th Anniversary of The Simpsons. The issue, due out Friday, October 16th, will feature a story inside called “The Devil in Marge Simpson” and another three pages of pictures.

The official box art for The Simpsons: The Complete Twentieth Season has today been revealed by Amazon.com. Only one box type is available at this time and we are yet to learn whether or not there will be a limited edition box. But judging by the box art itself, our guess is that this is it for the Season 20 release. Update: High Resolution image now avaliable.

Season 20 Coming To DVD/Blu-Ray
No, that is not a typo. While Season Twelve of The Simpsons was released last month, it appears that Fox are keen to go back to a two-per-year release plan by rushing a release of The Complete Twentieth Season, possibly in time for Christmas 2009. The news was confirmed after Amazon added the title yesterday and KFC unveiled a Season 20 DVD giveaway promotion in conjunction with The Simpsons Ride.

Coming soon from the official Simpsons website is a new desktop application celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Simpsons. The app allows users to send “virtual pranks” to one another’s computers.

Ratings: Coming To Homerica
A total of 5.86 million viewers watched the Season 20 finale ‘Coming To Homerica,’ the last new episode of The Simpsons until September. This makes the episode the least watched season finale in the history of the show and the third lowest rating episode of all time. Family Guy had 7.33 million viewers and American Dad a solid 5.65 million. Fox was third overall for the night and among viewers 18 – 49.

The final episode of Season 20, ‘ Coming To Homerica,’ airs tonight in the United States and tomorrow night in Canada. When nearby Ogdenville’s economy crumbles due to tainted barley discovered in Krusty’s veggie burgers, the unemployed workers of Ogdenville flock to Springfield. After Mayor Quimby closes Springfield’s borders and enlists private citizens to help patrol them, Homer organizes a border patrol group.

Ratings: Four Great Women and Another All Time Low!
A total of 5.16 million viewers watched last night’s episode ‘Four Great Women and a Manicure’, making it the least-watched episode of all time. The previous all-time low belonged to March episode ‘Lisa The Drama Queen’, which had 5.75 million viewers, so not only is it a new record, it has taken a giant beating by its own weakest episode. All five of the least watched episodes have now come in this, the 20th Anniversary year.

New Episode: Four Great Women and a Manicure
The second to last episode of the milestone 20th season airs tonight. Marge and Lisa visit the nail salon where they engage in a spirited debate as to whether a woman can be smart, powerful and beautiful all at the same time. To prove their point, they spin four tales of famous women featuring famous Springfield faces.

The ratings for Sunday night’s episode Waverly Hills 9-0-2-1-D’oh are finally in after some delays with the Nielsen figures. A total of 6.66 million demon viewers tuned in, which are relatively good numbers compared to the last few months. The show even beat Family Guy, which had 6.566 million viewers at 9:00.
