Season Eleven DVD Due October 7
The “long-awaited” Complete Eleventh Season will finally make its way to shelves in North America on October 7, ten months later than it was expected to be released and a further two months away from the then-expected Season Twelve release. The set was delayed first by the release of The Simpsons Movie in December.

Season Eleven Rumoured For August
We’re just as desperate for news on the next Simpsons DVD box set as you are, so naturally, any news on the matter is worth noting. And today, TVShowsOnDVD have done just that, reporting of word from a reliable source that The Complete Season Eleven will hit the stores in August, a full year after Season Ten was released. The reason for the delay and the skipping of a release in December 2007 is in part due to The Simpsons Movie release as well as the writers strike which halted the production of episode commentaries.
August is not an official release date, but it’s as close as we have to any word so far. We’re expecting an official announcement of release date and the highly anticipated new box art will be available within a month. More when we hear of it!

Tomacco Becomes A Reality!
Rob Baur, a huge Simpsons fan, grafted a tomato plant to a tobacco plant, grew it, and tonight he has proof from the lab that it worked. “What we found was nicotine in the leaves”. said scientist Ray Grimsbo. The plant grew off the tobacco roots and sucked up the nicotine, just like Tomacco on The Simpsons. The lab hasn’t tested if the actual tomato has nicotine in it yet, but they say it probably does. “Generally in the fruit there is more material concentrated because that’s what everything’s going through to produce the fruit for the next generation. I would expect there would be more.” And that would make the real life tomacco plant very poisonous. Rob Baur says he grew the tomacco plant just for fun, just to see if it would really work. But what’s next for him? “I’ll have to review my DVD’s to see if there is more Simpsons science available.”
