A total of 6.05 million viewers watched last night’s episode ‘To Surveil With Love’, again, a slight increase on last week which is good to see. A repeat at 7.30 had just 2.42 million viewers, but this timeslot fails to draw viewers no matter what Fox puts there.

Ratings: Chief Of Hearts
A total of 5.93 million viewers tuned in to watch last night’s new episode ‘Chief Of Hearts’. These figures are a slight improvement over what we’ve been seeing recently. Fox was last overall for the night in total viewers, as well as in the target 18 – 49 demographic. This is due to most of their lineup being reruns (The Simpsons and American Dad being the only exceptions). The Country Music Awards on CBS won the night, but probably didn’t take away much of Fox’s demographic.

A total of 5.87 million viewers watched the show, slightly up on this month’s other episode ‘Million Dollar Maybe’, but largely down on average. The show was fourth-placed in its timeslot at 8.00pm. Here’s the half-hour breakdown.

Ratings: ‘5.11 Million’ Dollar Maybe
In the space of three weeks, The Simpsons can go from having its highest ratings in five years, to the lowest ratings of all time in the very next episode. Last night’s episode drew a meager 5.11 million viewers. Seeing an animated Coldplay or a ‘viewer-designed’ character couldn’t save the show, and indeed, Fox, from being slaughtered by the competition.
