The Simpsons kicked off its 23rd season with a win – a total of 7.91 million viewers tuned in to watch the premiere episode ‘The Falcon & The D’ohman’. Not only are these figures up on last year’s season premiere (Elementary School Musical, 7.76 million), it was the most-watched of Fox’s season premieres last night.

A total of 5.29 million viewers tuned in to send off The Simpsons for another season, and to watch possibly the start of a new Springfield romance between Ned Flanders and Edna Krabappel, in ‘The Ned-Liest Catch’.

Ratings: Homer Scissorhands
A total of 5.48 million viewers watched last night’s new episode “Homer Scissorhands”, slightly down on last week but just high enough to stay out of danger territory. The show was followed by Bob’s Burgers with 4.18 million viewers. Family Guy at 9.00 topped the night with 6.52 million, followed by The Cleveland Show with 4.76 million viewers. Fox was fourth overall for the night and tied second with ABC in the 18 – 49 demographic.

Ratings: The Real Housewives Of Fat Tony
A total of 6.11 million viewers watched last night’s episode ‘The Real Housewives Of Fat Tony’, up on the record-breaking poor figures received for the previous episode. Repeats filled the rest of the night, with The Cleveland Show on 4.85 million, Family Guy on 5.34 million, and American Dad on 4.51 million viewers. Broadcasts may have been interrupted by President Obama’s address to the country depending on your timezone. Fox was fourth overall as well as among adults 18 – 49.

A total of 4.99 million viewers watched new episode ‘The Great Simpsina’ on Sunday April 10 — a new record low for the show.

Ratings: Love Is A Many Strangled Thing
A total of 6.14 million viewers watched last Sunday’s episode ‘Love Is A Many Strangled Thing’. Bob’s Burgers followed at 8.30 and slumped to 4.59 million viewers, followed by a repeat of Family Guy at 9.00 (5.58 million). A new American Dad finished the night with 5.0 million viewers. Fox was fourth overall for the night and second placed among adults 18-49.

Ratings: The Blue And The Gray
The Simpsons had 5.62 million viewers last night for ‘The Blue And The Gray’ which places it as the fourth least-watched episode of all time.

Ratings: Mom’s I’d Like To Forget
A total of 12.65 million viewers tuned in to last week’s episode ‘Mom’s I’d Like To Forget’. These are huge figures, the best so far this season, but it was the overrun of Fox’s Wildcard game that helped the show achieve this higher-than-average result.
