The overnight ratings showed that 4.41 million viewers watched The Simpsons in its 8pm slot, however, the reality of the situation is that many Fox affiliates had to break into regular programming to show President Obama’s address to the nation.

A total of 7.50 million viewers watched Sunday’s episode “The Day The Earth Stood Cool” – respectable numbers, again boosted by Fox’s NFL overrun and post-game lineup.

‘A Tree Grows In Springfield’ was watched by a healthy 7.53 million viewers, aided by an NFL overrun and post-match show ‘The OT’. Numbers dropped from there onwards, with Bob’s Burgers on 4.73 million viewers, Family Guy with 5.76 million, and The Cleveland Show with 4.32 million viewers.

5.18 million viewers watched Sunday night’s episode ‘Penny-Wiseguys’ – the least-watched episode so far this series, but still good enough to stay out of the danger zone.

A total of 5.65 million viewers watched last night’s episode “Adventures in Baby-Getting”, which makes it the least-watched of the three episodes from this season so far. The episode suffered a delay, originally due to be shown a month ago.
