Groening Talks To A.V. Club
Does Matt Groening really need any introduction? His evolution from cantankerous Los Angeles underground cartoonist to the creator of one of the most beloved and influential comic institutions of the past century is already the stuff of legend. TV Week Interviews David Mirkin
TV Week: “How many more episodes can we look forward to seeing? When is it all coming to an end?”
David Mirkin: “We made the deal with the actors for four years, including the year we are just completing now, so in theory we should be able to get up to season 20 with people still enjoying the show. And that’s an important consideration for us. We don’t want to wear out our welcome. Right now the deal is in place to hopefully get us to the twentieth season. But like I said, it’s important not to just go there, but to maintain the quality of it. And that’s really what we try and kill ourselves to do.” Read More >>>

Groening Speaks To EW
More from Matt Groening on the demise of Futurama — In an extended online version of his Enterainment Weekly interview, the ”Simpsons” creator reflects on his ill-fated sci-fi cartoon. “Matt Groening’s ”Futurama” was like a shooting star: It was very bright, but you had to really look for it. Fox hid the cartoon sci-fi comedy on Sunday nights at 7 p.m., rarely promoted it, and so often pre-empted it that fans didn’t know where to find it. But now, with its final episodes just released on DVD (”Futurama: Volume Four”), we asked Groening to reflect on his creation, the funniest show of the 31st century.” Read Interview >>>

Interview With Harry Shearer
Brokennewz.com has scored an interview with Harry Shearer, who provides the voice of Mr Burns, Ned Flanders and Principal Skinner just to name a few. “Harry Shearer first caught my attention in the 80’s during his days on SNL. His writing talents and on air appeal kept me captivated, which in turn inadvertently kept me following his career. Spinal Tap, Godzilla, Wayne’s World 2, are just a few of the films you have seen him shine. The 90s launched him to further cult status with the many voices that he uses to bring the Simpsons to life. It is a great privilege for us at Broken Newz to steal a few moments of Mr. Shearer’s time to talk, and worship.” Read The Interview >>>
