Expanding on yesterdays story, Day Of The Jackanapes is offline due to hosting issues. The owner was told to remove all of the sites image content (including pictures on the design), sounds and movies. Since there is no legal issues with Fox to mention here, the site will return at a new host with its content.
Simpsons Land has been redesigned for the third time in the three months it has been open. It’s getting better, keep going.
The Simpsons Network has opened. This site comes from the owner of Duff Stadium which opened and closed in January. The site needs lots of tender love or the owner will close it again. The content is there and the design isn’t too bad.
Day Of The Jackanapes is currently offline. The site does not specify why, but I guess it will be back soon! The Simpsons Top 50 is also offline since its opening was rushed. The site will open in completed form this time.
Bart Simpson Dedication has been reverted back to it’s previous design after the owner came to realize the newer version wasn’t as good. Looking great.
Beyond Blunderdome has had to modify its design due to hosting policies. Graphic wise, the site has stayed the same. Layout wise, the site looks a lot different. Check it out.
Though we’re a Simpsons site, we have shown our support for Matt Groening’s show Futurama since it began. We were here to announce the premiere and unfortunately here to announce the demise. Futurama has NOT been picked up for another season. Can’t Get Enough Futurama has more news, and you can do your bit by signing the petition.
A Burns For All Seasons has been handed over to its new owner and slightly modified the existing design. Doesn’t look much different, apart from the fact that it doesn’t use a popup anymore.
There’s a new website dedicated to Gil, titled Reality Bites. Good content and a good design, though still room for more content. Duffland has been redesigned. It has the same feel as before but the changes are good.
Today marks the end of an Era. One of the longest running Simpsons sites has called it quits. Due to repeating server problems which kept it down for the most part of last year Simpsons Surplus is currently down and will not be returning. The site opened in August of 1998 and kept its main focus on images. It was hit by a C&D in April 2000 but the site kept growing to this day. Brad will not be giving his content to another site so don’t ask him. Though nothing is final at the moment, Brad has expressed interest in opening a picture archive so his images do not go to waste. It is sad to see this site go, but like the show itself, all things must come to an end.
A Milhouse Divided has been redesigned. The site has changed from a green colour scheme to blue. The new look is much nicer and easier on the eyes. AMD has already become one of the best character sites on the net with its constant updates and improvements.
Kamp Krusty has been redesigned once again. We haven’t reported all of its past redesigns but this one is the best I’ve seen.
Springfield! Springfield! has received a new design today. This is the websites biggest change since it opened and it is definitely a huge improvement over past designs. The site used to be mostly white but now it has changed to a purple/blue/yellow colour scheme which is a great effort.
Oy My Glayvin!, a site dedicated to Professor Frink has a brand new design thanks to Dima. The site has had an average design since it opened but this is it’s first major change. Although very small it is a lot better than before.
Simpsons Look Alike is a new site which wants you to submit photos of people you know who look like a Simpsons character. The site isn’t very big at the moment, but with your help it could become great.
The Simpsons Top 50 is back online today, a day later than originally promised and it’s still not finished. In fact, it’s the most imcomplete thing I’ve ever seen. You shouldn’t set a date if you aren’t going to stick to it. The site has a new design which is looking a little bare at the moment, but nothing else has changed and the top 50 list isn’t even available for viewing. Looks like I’ll have to return in a week when the site may have content.
Short’n’Fun, the website that is filled with Simpsons goodies despite it’s title, has been redesigned today. The new design has the same kind of feel to it’s previous look since it has kept the same color scheme, but the design really has changed a fair bit.
A Lemon For Jebediah is the latest dedication to the founder of Springfield. It has an excellent design and some great content. Also following our previous update, Springfield SOS has been given a new color scheme. It looks a lot better.
A brand new site entitled Springfield SOS opened its doors a few days ago. The site appears to be off to a decent start and, of course, has plenty of room for improvement.
After it’s recent move to grampasimpson.com, the promising Springfield Indulgence has made a couple of graphic enhancements. The young website seems to be growing by the day.
