No news for over 2 months…
what kind of website is this?
It seems there is one person who does everything. If you want to be successful – let someone else take over who has a passion for this show and the time to do it justice. What you have here is an embarrassment.
There was plenty of news concerning contract negotiations, leaks about new episodes, what’s going to happen with episode 500 and if it’s going to be a series of new episodes shown together – 499 500 and 501 similar to how they did it at the 300th episode, news about season 14 on DVD being pushed back, there were several new best TV comedy lists that came out with the simpsons near the top. Homer Simpson was voted best TV dad. Some of the actors made the TV rounds talking about the show (harry shearer talks about it a lot on interviews that you can find online). Matt Groening got a star on the hollywood walk of fame. Fan site no homers returned to being exclusively about the Simpsons. and more!
Get on the ball – or pass the baton. It’s nice you try – but the site deserves more effort. This website is for Simpsons fans… you won’t get any average person just popping in to read up on the simpsons. Don’t try to attract a broad audience when there isn’t one to begin with. So you need to cater to the simpsons fans and keep up the news. Or pass the baton.
Hi James,
I am aware of how dormant I’ve been leaving the site. I still have a passion for The Simpsons and for this website, I just simply haven’t have the time to work on it that I used to have. At the end of the day, it is still my website and am not ready to see it lay solely in the hands of someone else. I know it is silly but I was similarly appointed caretaker of the website in 1998 when its founder lost interest, and while he’s moved on and probably could care less, I almost feel I owe it to him to keep it in good hands. But I see that won’t happen and I will never have anybody to hand it over to unless I take on some more help.
I have always welcomed interest from anybody who would like to help out and contribute – my last plea for extra helpers went out in a post at No Homers and it went unanswered, so it is not through lack of trying.
I know you didn’t ask, but if you or anybody else would like to help out around here and you have some web experience, I’m happy to have you on board. I’ve spent 5 hours on the backend of this website today, cleaning it up, providing Facebook connectivity etc, which shows I am committed to keeping the website alive. I will push this further on the homepage if there are no takers on this post.
I don’t know James – maybe you can start your own Simpsons website and be better than everyone else. Perhaps when your busy schedule of telling everyone else how to run their website clears up a bit. Looking forward to seeing it.
