The Season 21 finale ‘Judge Me Tender’ airs Sunday night in North America. Fox has released three new promotional images at the last minute which also reveal another guest voice, Rupert Murdoch.
In the episode, when ‘Moe’ discovers a hidden talent for judging contests, he is approached by a television agent to join the ‘American Idol’ judges’ panel. Moe flies to Los Angeles where he tours the Fox lot and receives some sage career advice.
I think it’s going to be a good episode to end the season with.
i just cant wait to see it xD
It sounds like it’s just going to be one long American Idol commercial. This is the first time that there has been a Simpsons episode that I’ll never consider watching.
Oh well, I still have Futurama to look forward to.
ywah, Brandon, I to am not considering watching this episode, sounds crapy, but hey, Futurama’s coming back as you said.
Brian, Adam and whoever runs this site also, are you considering creating a futuramachannel.com? all the other sites suck, and Brian you could do like with freakinsweetnews.com, “www.lardlad.com/news/futurama”, are you interested?
Adam has, in the past, posted updates concerning Futurama. Obviously, because the show was canceled, such updates dried up. I don’t know if he has plans to blog about it again when it returns.
are you fucking kidding me? your not going to watch because it features american idol? that the most idiot thing i’ve ever heard. you, my friend, are a dumbass. it was a great episode with spot on jokes the whole way through. please pull your head out of you ass and don’t judge things before you see them.
Who are you calling a dumbass with your shit load of grammar errors? Was that a hit at me? Haha! Nice try, retard.
The reason that I wont watch this episode is because I’ve given the show many chances to not suck and I’m tired of being disappointed. The reason that I’ve given the show so many chances is because I love it so much, and because I love it, I can’t bare to see the show reduce to new lows anymore. I’ll just stick with the older episodes.
Hey, instead of pulling my head out of my ass, I’ll pull out a better episode plot.
Homer has just found out that Duff Beer is holding a beer drinking contest in Springfield. Homer wants to join the contest because the prize for winning the contest is $40,000 and a year supply of Duff Beer. Homer knows that the family could REALLY use the money, but Marge doesn’t want Homer to risk it because he only has one kidney and he just had triple bypass surgery two weeks ago. (You know, because even though those episodes were several years ago, the Simpsons haven’t aged much.) Meanwhile, Patty has just found out that she has gotten lung cancer from smoking too much cigarettes, but she can’t afford an operation. She also doesn’t have insurance.
Homer is a little happy about Patty’s current condition, but later sees how this is tearing Marge apart. Afraid that Marge would say no, Homer secretly enters the beer drinking contest to try to win the money for Patty’s operation.
(I’m not giving away the ending, but you can believe me when I say that it’s heart filled and unexpected, unlike recent episodes.)
Honestly, would you rather see MY episode, or an episode about Moe learning that he has a talent for judging competitions? Tell me what you think.
That was literally off of the top of my head (pulled out of my ass) and I have several other ideas for episodes, ones even better than than the pile of shit that I just came up with.
The people who work for the Simpsons should give me a writing job because I can write WAY better episodes than the ones that are on now.
If any of you douches read this, and happen to write for The Simpsons, you can have my episode idea. God knows you losers can’t come up with episodes worth shit by yourselves.
although i still love the simpson episodes now, that sounds right good!!!
if people keep argueing about the simpsons epidoes now, write a letter to them. Loads of people have a talent of making episodes, and ive just seen som. go write a letter now!!!!!
Terrible idea.
I love that you take a shot at my 2 grammatical errors (which weren’t actually grammatical errors, they were spelling errors. Also, “grammatical” is the correct usage of the word, not “grammar” the way it was used) then come back with your own. Very nice. I still feel that your judgment of this episode is idiotic. You can’t just say, “I’m not going to watch this because it has american idol”. That’s just plain stupid. It was a great episode. I also seriously doubt that you came up with that plot “off the top of your head”. Please be less of an idiot in the future.
They aren’t spelling errors because they’re not spelled incorrectly. You just used the wrong words.
“You can’t just say…” I can say whatever I want. If you have a problem with it, too bad.
Who the fuck are you quoting here? “I’m not going to watch this because it has american idol”.
Is this what I said? No, it’s not. You’re such a retard that you can’t even quote me correctly.
I’m not going to bother with your stupid ass anymore. And yes, I did come up with that plot off of the top of my head.
Thanks for correcting my mistake. I learned something new. 😀
By the way, you had three grammatical errors.
Something is telling me that this episode is going to be the downfall of The Simpsons.
It’s a shameless crossover, but so were the Critic and X-Files episodes from back in the day, so I can’t be too annoyed since I love both those episodes.
Anyway, this episode is airing against the finale of Lost, so it’ll probably end up on the lowest ratings list. At least it’ll have a good excuse.
Overreact much? There have been tie-in episodes before, and if The Critic one is a bad example, what about the X-Files one? It’s the season finale, enjoy it! 🙂
This episode is going up against the LOST Series Finale.
Take that into effect Adam when trying to analyze the numbers.
I think since the LOST episode doesn’t officially start until 9PM (at 7PM is just a entire show history recap) that Family Guy will probably suffer a bigger loss than The Simpsons.
But still, no way is anything going to beat LOST tonight.
Just saw!
Huge dissapointment!
It was horrible!
it wasn’t great but i didn’t hate it
The episode was ok! not the best. i still think
the bob next door should have been season finale but hey it’s been a pretty good season. Apart from the ratings.
I thought it was okay. Not my favorite episode of the season.
The season as a whole was very very good and better than many others in recent memory.
The episode was a good one and all those who like silly talk (like, well I’m not watching this ep because of the subject) should shut up because it was great.
WATCH FIRST AND THEN TALK!
To be fair, when you’ve been bitten 1,000 times you’re not going to blindly go back for more.
This episode was the bomb! laughed all the way through. definitely a good finale
I liked it, my family liked it and my friends liked it. The only thing that sucks is that I have to wait till September for more new episodes. 😛
wow American Idol is so old and has been done so many times a really bad season closer.
one of the funniest in a while after what I hate to say is probably the worst season of all (and I’ve been defending them for years)
They’re not showing season 21 in Australia yet, but it definitely sounds interesting. To be honest, I don’t think I could hate this show if I tried; I’ve been watching it since I was a baby, I’m addicted, and it still makes me laugh to this day.
To the guy (Brandon, I believe) who refuses to watch the episode because of Idol, and that the plot’s been going downhill for years (I think that was the idea), I agree with you, and your plot was far better. (And Idol sucks, too.)
But that doesn’t mean The Simpsons isn’t still good — I agree with bobby on that — or any much different than they’ve always been.
He (bobby) has grammatical errors, sure, and that’s important to me. English skills are a sign of intelligence, and by saying you have better skills than him, you’re saying you’re smarter and know better.
But if that’s the only thing you’re judging on, I’d say that a) I outrank both of you, and b) since that seems to be a major factor in your arguments, you probably don’t have much else intelligent to say. (Even if bobby isn’t much better, denying something you already confirmed.)
And since position in this argument seem to fall so heavily on intelligence, that very fact seems to lower you down a peg. What else have you said, besides pulling a plot out of your ass, or flaming bobby (who, again, is admittedly no better)?
Although, all this seems pretty ironic, considering as The Simpsons has never been an overly intelligent show, Lisa aside. But I guess some people take themselves way too seriously.
It was a funny episode, one of the funniest of a not so funny season.
Fox made the Simpsons run for 22 seasons only to hold records and numbers. If the Simpsons had ran for 20 years, we would have the cartoon equivalent to Monty Python. We almost had that. Pitty.
I hope the next season doesn’t make everyone sick of the Simpsons. Such potential to go to waste…
