What to say about last Sunday’s ratings for ‘To Cur, With Love’? The overnight ratings showed that 4.41 million viewers watched The Simpsons in its 8pm slot, however, the reality of the situation is that many Fox affiliates had to break into regular programming to show President Obama’s address to the nation regarding the Connecticut massacre. Adjusted figures show that 3.77 million viewers actually watched the episode – a new all-time low. Depending on your timezone, Fox ran straight into Bob’s Burgers following the conclusion of the address. To make up for this, Fox has rescheduled the episode at 8.30pm this Sunday.
Either way you look at it, the show ranks among the five least-watched episodes on record (placed third on overnights and first on adjusted figures), but it’s hardly fair to add it to our records given the circumstances. Had the show aired as normal, it would have probably escaped the dreaded list.
Other adjusted figures for the night were: Bob’s Burgers (3.09 million), Family Guy (repeat – 3.49 million), and American Dad (repeat – 3.46 million).
Again, a reminder that this episode will re-air this Sunday following the previously scheduled rerun of ‘Adventures in Baby-Getting’. You can rate the episode below:
