The Simpsons 20th Anniversary Special – In 3D on Ice, presented by Morgan Spurlock, was an hour long retrospective showcasing 20 years and 450 episodes of the show. Viewers old and new were treated to a rare brief history of the show, through the words of its producers, writers, stars, and guest stars, and were even treated briefly to what the show promised in the first place — ice skating! 13.46 million viewers tuned in to the first half hour of the special, and 11.171 million stayed watching for the second half. These are preliminary figures which will be amended come later in the week.
The special boosted weekly viewership of The Cleveland Show, which ended up with 8.55 million viewers.
The show helped Fox win the night in all major demographics
Great episode, documentary, and ratings.
Anybody know when or if this will be shown in the UK
In 3D! ON ICE! 😀
I thought it was great. I enjoyed both the episode and the documentary.
Kane – you can watch the special online on fox.com
once the bad “once upon a time in Springfield” episode was over i thought that this would cheer me up but sadly it failed to deliver.
I only liked the last 2.00 minutes of it. comic book guy said he liked it. what documentary was he watching?
I thought it was OK, though it should have had more footage of the good-looking Simpsons collectors (especially the one who looked like Homer…) ;o)
