A total of 8.43 million viewers tuned in to The Simpsons last night for the episode Homer Of Seville. A drop-off from the premiere was expected, and last night’s figure is very comparable to the 8.94 million that second-episode Jazzy And The Pussycats got at the same time last year. Not a bad effort considering last week’s figures compared with the previous year. Family Guy had 7.95 million viewers last night, proving the Star Wars fans boosted last week’s episode.
At 8pm, The Simpsons was in fourth place behind Home Edition, 60 Minutes, and the NFL. Fox was fourth overall for the night and tied third with CBS among adults 18 – 49. New episode Midnight Towboy airs on Sunday.
