The ratings are in and a total of 9.32 million viewers watched last night’s new episode “Bart Gets A ‘Z'”. That is an increase on the season premiere. The Cleveland Show stayed strong with 8.70 million viewers, a 2 million viewer improvement on last year’s King Of The Hill. Family Guy was the winner of the night with 9.67 million viewers, while American Dad had 7.06 million at 9.30.
Fox was third overall for the night and second among adults 18 – 49. NBC was the total and target demo winner for the night.
Awesomeness! I think my favorite part was Skinner sliding out of his office under that blanket.
This episode was pretty good with some good jokes. heres my ratings for this week
simpsons-8.0
family guy-7.7
cleveland show-7.4

Great episode, I hope they continue exploring the lives of the more obscure Simpsons cast. This episode had above average artwork and a great plot.
Awesome improvement! Hopefully sooon it’ll pass family guy.
A great episode for one reason: besides a few solid jokes, they actually told a good story with character development. What separates The Simpsons from Family Guy is that jokes in the Simpsons (when it is a good show) are related to the story. The best Family Guy can give you are cheap laughs on jokes where the only tie-in is some character saying “like that time when…” This was a solid show, and let’s hope there are more like it.
Yeah, mine too.
“A cran bran for the Flan man.”
Hey Brett and it’s those “like that time when” jokes from Family Guy that make me and all friends laugh 10x more than any Simpson episode in history. This was an ok episode, better than last week’s trash but still under par from the average new season episodes. Still waiting for the THOH, I am hoping that is what jump starts my interest this season.
Just like I’ve predicted! 😀
Numbers are getting higher, and now we have all rights to expect over 10 million viewers for THOH XX!
I’ll watch this episode tonight, and tomorrow I’ll put here my two cents.
Will admit, I did not expect that. Very good total, honestly expected it to be lower, maybe a late push up the ratings by The Simpsons?
Brilliant, I was actually looking forward to this episode because they use Twitter. I really wanted the class to use it….But they did not, it does not matter though.
As for the ratings, I really like it, we are over 9 million when the average of these new Simpson episodes are 8 million…. better then normal I say…
^^^^^^^^
haha great ratings! hope they’ll keep getting better
This episode was excellent. Great ratings too.
I think next weeks ratings will be a little bit lower or a little bit higher. I think “Treehouse of horror xx” will get a lot of ratings.
Keep up the good work!
Obviously it was because of fotball… but still, impressive ratings and a solid, funny episode of the simpsons. I expect next week’s episode (The Great Wife Hope) to get lower ratings, because it’ll have an american dad repeat as a lead-in… oh well. Looking forward to THOH XX!!
LOL funny stuff nick-tick-97 i had to say it. And also great episode i hope ever episode is this good
Well, Pleco I never said they didn’t get a laugh. But they’re cheap and far less intelligent. Anyone can make up a bunch of jokes that are completely unrelated. Do you know anything about any of the characters in Family Guy? No, it’s the same crap day after day. All I’m saying is that the Simpsons mastered character development and wrote solid jokes that actually worked with story. They don’t do that much anymore, which is why they are running out of gas. But occasionally, they get it right. Like this episode.
