Just a quick heads up, Lisa Simpson, This Isn’t Your Life airs in just a couple of hours in North America.
Discovering that Marge was once a stellar A+ student whose grades plummeted after being distracted, Lisa fears that she will end up just like her mom unless she pledges to focus solely on academics in an encore episode. When Marge makes a secret deal allowing Lisa to attend her dream school, Lisa learns a lesson in family and altruism. Meanwhile, Bart puts Nelson Muntz in his place and unintentionally claims the title of “School Bully”.
In before “simpsons sukked aftr season 10″… Considering that this was a ‘Lisa episode’ and it was one in which a similar storyline was used earlier in the series (‘Lisa the Simpson’), the writers did a great job of making this episode new and fresh, without it seeming like a recylcled idea. It was funny and smart, a Simpsons episode the way it should be.
BRILLIANT episode. Loved it.
But man, is this season the Lisa season or what? Not that I have any problem with that, but I just find it kinda funny there’s been so much focus on her.
Honestly, it kills me to say it but it sucked BIG TIME. I mean, great gag’s (specially “Lord Buda I know I’m not supposed to want anything, but C’MON!) but the storyline ‘s been done to death, the moral it’s borderline hypocrite and the ending doesn’t resolve anything.
It saddens me to write this words but the truth is that Seth McFarland’s animated series have much funnier gag’s but the Simpsons used to distinguish themselves for their storyline. Nowadays, every Simpson episode is a failed attempt to copy the Family Guy joke structure whilst telling a story and for the looks of it, is diminishing the product.
What is the song that was used at the end just before Bart faces off with Nelson?
