When nearby Ogdenville’s economy crumbles due to tainted barley discovered in Krusty’s veggie burgers, the unemployed workers of Ogdenville flock to Springfield. After Mayor Quimby closes Springfield’s borders and enlists private citizens to help patrol them, Homer organizes a border patrol group.

Marge and Lisa visit the nail salon where they engage in a spirited debate as to whether a woman can be smart, powerful and beautiful all at the same time. To prove their point, they spin four tales of famous women featuring famous Springfield faces: Selma as Queen Elizabeth I, Lisa as Snow White, Marge as Lady Macbeth and Maggie as the idealistic architect protagonist from Ayn Rand’s “The Fountainhead”.

New Episode: Father Knows Worst
“Father Knows Worst”, the 18th episode of the 20th season airs tonight at 8.00pm on Fox. When Homer observes Bart and Lisa struggling in certain aspects of their academic and social lives at school, he becomes a proponent of “helicopter parenting,” the process of closely monitoring a child and forcing them to succeed. Meanwhile, Marge discovers a sauna in the Simpson family’s basement that she finds hard to resist.

Today saw the release of a sneak peek of the new Simpsons stamps which will go on sale in the US from May 7. The stamps come in 5 designs, one dedicated to each member of the Simpsons family.

Best. Couch Gag. Ever. Contest
As The Simpsons Poster Contest draws to a close and the winners are announced, Fox have decided to treat US fans to yet another contest. This time around, fans are being asked to create their very own live-action couch gag video, and upload it to MySpace for a chance at winning a trip to Los Angeles to attend The Simpsons 21st season premiere party, a Sony Home Entertainment System and a custom Simpsons drawing.

The Simpsons To Feature On US Stamps
The US Postal Service have announced that the Simpsons family will be commemorated on 44-cent First-Class Mail stamps in 2009. Featuring images of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie Simpson, the stamps have been personally designed by creator and executive producer, Matt Groening.

Barack Obama on The Simpsons?
He may be the first black president of the United States, but Barack Obama could make yet more history by becoming the first US president to lend his voice to The Simpsons. Al Jean and James L. Brooks, executive producers behind The Simpsons, are hoping President Obama will agree to lend his voice to an episode of the series.

Fox have today released a promotional image for Sunday March 15’s “Gone Maggie Gone”. When Maggie disappears at a convent, Lisa goes undercover as a nun to solve the mystery. Meanwhile, Homer tries to keep Maggie’s disappearance a secret from Marge, who was blinded while watching a solar eclipse.
