The Seven Beer Snitch failed to make a dent in the ratings. With only 7.3 million viewers watching on Sunday night, the episode was the lowest rating episode this season, down on previous holder “Midnight RX” which had 8.2 million in January. In last May, “The Way We Weren’t” scored a record low Nielsen figure of 6.2 million viewers. This is the closest it’s come this year. The FOX network came fourth overall for the night, while despite the low figures for The Simpsons and Arrested Development, the network hit fourth place among adults 18 – 49. Furthermore the competition at 8:00pm wasn’t as strong as previous weeks, with CBS’s Cold Case in first place, followed by ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition, and The Simpsons/Arrested in third ahead of NBC’s The Contender. The next new episode of The Simpsons airs this Sunday.
