The Blue And The Gray airs this Sunday in North America.
After spending another Valentine’s Day alone, Moe attends a seminar led by Dr. Kissingher in the hopes of gaining more confidence with women. Moe takes the doctor’s advice and asks Homer to be his wingman, but Moe becomes distraught when women are drawn to Homer as well.
Meanwhile, Marge discovers her first gray hairs and surprises both her family and the neighborhood by going completely gray and sporting a brand new mature ‘do, but Bart is not humored when the neighborhood kids tease him about Marge’s look. Later, Marge confronts Homer when she learns that he is becoming increasingly popular with the young ladies, but Homer helps Marge realize that he only has eyes for her and proves that love is still in the Springfield air.
Seems good, but didn’t Homer already admit Marge had grey hair in “Secrets of a Successful Marriage”? And then Marge in “Helter Shelter”? (I know, I’m a Simpsons nerd.)
I am too but I don’t know everything about it.
Australians can catch this on March 2nd on channel ELEVEN :]
What was the name of the valentine’s day song at the end of The Blue and the Gray? It’s the song played with Maggie and the other baby flying around.
Love is Blue
In the ending scene where Maggie and Gerald are shown as cupids, who first fight with bows and arrows, then kiss, Paul Mauriat’s version of the 1967 song, L’amour est bleu, plays in the background.
the song is: Love is Blue by Paul Mauriat
Thanks to Shazam for recognizing it :PP
The song played is called is “Love is Blue,” entirely appropriate to the title. Some of the lyrics are “Blue, blue, my world is blue. Blue is my world now I’m without you. Gray, gray, my life is gray. Cold is my heart since you went away.”
Befitting of the episode, the name of that song is; “L’amour est bleu” which is French for “Love is Blue”
Has anyone found out what the song was called that they played at the end of the skit ??? I really would like to find out !
Yes it was revealed in older episodes that Marge was indeed gray but I don’t think this ruins continuity in any way. Marge did not say she was oblivious to the fact that she had gray hair she was just astonished at the amount of gray hair on her head. May be over time she simply forgot she went gray because she has basically been going gray for 22 years, “THE CHARACTERS DONT AGE” and the show has been on for 22 years so may be she just forgot. As for the episode I thought it was a fun episode with good jokes and great animation. I have to say one last thing WHY IS BOBS BURGERS STILL ON THE AIR? IT IS THE WORST SHOW I HAVE EVER SEEN…..
The song at the end of the episode of the blue and the grey is entitled “Love is Blue” it is by a French orchestra but is credited to Paul Mauriat who was the orchestra leader. That is the version that is at the end of the episode, but the original (that included lyrics) was under its French name, “L’amour est bleu” and was written by Anre Popp. Hope this helps.
