A total of 9.56 million viewers tuned in to last night’s episode ‘The Fight Before Christmas’, the highest ratings so far this season for the second week running. These are very positive figures from the show which ended its 21st season with some of its lowest numbers on record. These figures are way above the mark compared to the same time last year and the year before. Maybe the extra viewers tuned in to see this…
A one-hour Cleveland Show followed at 8.30 with 6.51 million viewers, followed by American Dad with 5.28 million viewers. Fox was second overall for the night, as well as among adults 18 – 49.
‘Donnie Fatso’ airs next weekend. You can rate last night’s episode below.

I didn’t tune in specifically for Katy, but hey, it definitely did help. The Simpsons are definitely back on track!
I watched this episode expecting to be disappointed, but it turned out to be one of my favorite Christmas episodes. It is also by far my favorite episode this season.
The puppet segment was corny in a good way. It brought back a lot of childhood memories when I used to watch The Muppets which gave the episode a classic and fresh Simpsons feeling. The segment about Bart and Santa had an older episode feeling for me too.
Though some of the segments didn`t have much plot to them, they were still entertaining nonetheless. There wasn`t one joke in this whole episode that I didn`t like, which is something I haven`t been able to say for at least a season and a half.
I hope the writers keep up the good work.
Call me a fanboy if you`d like but I`m giving this episode a 5/5.
I don’t know why people are dissing the Simpsons.
“A dysfuctional christmas with the Simpsons features some disturbing twists”

This episode turned out from sounding like a disaster to being
a laugh riot, my favorite segment was the (of course) the puppet dream, it feel like a muppet christmas special with popular guest stars, it had me laughing until a choked, like Brandon said “There’s not much plot into these segments, but still entertaining” To be honest this episode made my sunday, and it deserved the fabulous ratings. Simpsons has REALLY been improving lately
I give this episode an A.
What was up with all the pandering to the jews on the chrsitmas special? It totally ruined it for me.
I totally agree I frm Hungarian and hate Jew shit to.
I caught the very end of the show. The Martha Stewart scene felt very artificial. And the Katy Perry thing….the puppet aspect was cool…and I assume it’s parodying her banned Sesame Street appearance…but I felt like she didnt need to be there. Plus the joke at the end about Moe kissing her belly button, then Katy says ” thats not my belly button….I didnt say stop…” was a little too dirty I thought. Idk.
come to think of it it was my fav christmas ep!
great ratings!
Didnt Fox have the game of the week again? With it going inot overtime? Anyways, a great sign for the simpsons. Ihonestly really like this episode. more than what I thought I would. Like most Simpsons fans I didnt tune in specifically for katy perry but i also didnt turn away. My favorite joke was at the end when Moe kissed her belly button and Katy said “That isnt my belly button…I didnt say stop!” It was dirty and just what the Simpsons really need. they need to get their edge back and this episode did it!
yea, i think they need to get a bit more grown and make it a show for anyone
this episode was not a classic instead of doing one good christmas story they do 4 sup-par ones it’s almost as if they are rushing each story. the last joke of the episode was the only funny one. a 6/10 (i’am being generous today)
what is the song that is played right at the start of the episode??……. plz help..
