A total of 8.97 million viewers watched last night’s new episode ‘Lisa Simpson, This Isn’t Your Life’. These are the highest figures so far this season, which is great news coming off the back of an official announcement regarding the renewal up to Season 23. The numbers were helped by a Football overrun, but certainly shows that there is a casual audience out there that is prepared to watch new episodes of The Simpsons.
Family Guy managed to score 7.0 million viewers at 9.00pm, below average and quite a large loss to The Simpsons. The Cleveland Show had 6.72 million viewers at 8.30pm, and American Dad finished the night with 5.37 million viewers.

I thought this was one of the best stories and funniest episodes they have done in years. “your not a kangaroo Ralph” “Awww”. Its good stuff. i am glad to see the the ratings at around 8 mil. Definately not what I expected and it is great to have such a good episode. This hopefully will keep people interested for the next few weeks.
I have no explanation for family guy. the simpsons use to crush family guy every week, but lately its been the other way around. i have never found family guy that funny, are other people thinking that too?
I think FG is ok. I’m always disappointed by American Dad’s ratings since I prefer it a lot over FG and Cleveland.
Anyways, good episode. It was more realistic that Lisa’s story was left kind of unresolved with her sacrificing her dreams so that Marge could be happy. The episode didn’t get any big laughs out of me but the smaller jokes and nice story made it really enjoyable overall.
Fantastic episode! it feels a lot like an older episode but fresher! the jokes and gags were good and this episode deserves praise! after a bit of a shaky start the simpsons are coming back on top form! some people say this is a modern version of lisa the simpson but i’ve only just realised due to it’s pure brilliantness! a lot think the newer episodes suck a bit but the beginning of this season was crap! end of i said it! but this and the latest THOH have stood out! this should hopefully become the best.season.ever!
This was great, best episode this season, just hope this season improves after being 60% crap.
Totally agree with everyone here. This was the best showing of the season so far. What’s more, they used many old ideas here (Lisa going to a better school has been done to death), but I felt all of this was fresh and solid. Very happy with this episode.
