2/28/98 – Springfield Elementary Disappears
Springfield Elementary has disappeared. While the owners did not give a reason, we suspect it was because a lot of people disliked the site, calling it a rip-off of other sites.
2/21/98 – The Simpy Awards
We have just been informed we have been nominated for the Simpy Awards. We appreciate the thought and everything, but a win doesn’t really mean much since it’s so easy to cheat (yes, some people do that). We’re also a bit disappointed by the nominations. So go ahead and vote if you want to, but don’t take it too seriously.
2/20/98 – Authors call it quits
The authors of Brian’s Tribute to The Simpsons and Omar’s Simpson Site, two popular sites, have decided to stop updating due to similar reasons: less free time and less enthusiasm with the show. They have both decided to leave the site on their servers so visitors can still enjoy the content.
