EA have today announced what we hinted at a couple of weeks back, an all new Simpsons game for Wii, Xbox360, PS3, DS and PSP. The website dedicated to the game was launched but provides little information on the game. So we went to GameSpot.

In the latest game there will be 16 levels which take the form of episodes, each with a unique title animation, setting, and story. Within each “episode” players will take control of two family members, or play one of them with a friend in a split-screen two-player mode. The Simpsons realise that they are trapped in a video game, and decide that they might as well use the opportunity to give themselves special powers. For instance, Bart can become Bartman, and Homer can transform into the Homerball. According to EA, the game makes fun of the video game industry, along with pop culture.
