Hey, hey kids. The Simpsons have
hit the street in an all-new, arcade-style
driving game, Road Rage. When Monty
Burns takes over Springfield's transport
system he jacks up the fares to cover
the cost of fuelling the buses with
nuclear power. At almost a hundred
bucks a pop, the town responds by
running their own taxi service. The
aim of the game is to pick up and
drop off as many customers as quickly
as you can. Passengers could be any
of 20-odd interactive characters
from the show, including regulars
like Barney and Apu. The game takes
you through a number of Springfield
neighbourhoods and past more than
100 of the town's famous landmarks.
There are various game modes, including
two-player mode, story mode and a
Sunday mode for cruising around at
a more leisurely pace. Vehicles are
the same models as used by the particular
character in the TV show, so Homer
buzzes about in the pink family car,
while Willy does pick-ups in his
red tractor. Created in the same
style as Crazy Taxi, if you enjoyed
that game, then
you're bound to get mileage out of
The Simpsons: Road Rage.
